Dr. Erickson completed his undergraduate degree at UC San Diego before going on to graduate from Southern California University of Health Sciences, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic with Honors. He is also certified in Active Release Technique.
“I am most known for diagnosing and correcting especially complicated functional problems – issues where various other treatments have failed,” says Dr. Erickson. “Most notably with low back, shoulder and knee cases where surgery appears to be the only solution. I feel it is my calling to keep as many patients away from unnecessary drugs and surgery as possible.”
“My functional biomechanics approach is great for athletes. Conditions suffered during highly repetitive sports – like running, cycling and swimming – respond especially well to this approach,” says Dr. Erickson. “Examples include back pain, rotator cuff problems, knee pain, plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendon issues.”
Dr. Erickson is passionate about guiding patients towards higher levels of health, happiness and prosperity. He takes great pride in helping patients lead a life free of unnecessary drugs and surgery.
His frustration with the outdated and commonly harmful athletic training and injury recovery advice led Dr. Erickson to found the ProMaker Performance Academy in 2012. The Academy has allowed Dr. Erickson to help athletes all across the globe – ranging from amateur to elite – train without pain, improve athletic performance and recover quickly and completely from sports injuries.
“I am most excited about the contribution that the chiropractic profession has made towards advancing wellness over the last 100+ years,” says Dr. Erickson.
Dr. Erickson’s favorite time spent way from the office is with his wife, Daley, and their two young children, Ethan and Avery – whether it’s visiting tide pools, camping with Cub Scouts, attending dance performances, craft projects or snuggling on the couch at home!
